Situated at edge of the village of Ellenabeich with its own private walled garden and spectacular views across the old quarry pool to the village and the island seascape beyond 

This picture postcard cottage boasts 4 en suite bedrooms (3 double & 1 twin). A 5-minute walk one way gives stunning views of Mull, Insh and the Garvellach Islands yet 5 minutes in the opposite direction takes you to the Oyster Bar and Restaurant; little village gift shop, booking office for Seafari Adventures and folk museum. Oban, the "Gateway to the Isles", is just 15 miles away to the North.

The harbour is a great place for watching the world drifting slowly by. Seafari Adventures takes regular parties out to have their own intimate encounters with the stunning and varied wildlife in the Firth of Lorn.  The open boat passenger ferry will take you across to Easdale Island, the smallest inhabited Island in Scotland. Enjoy the special ambience of Easdale Island, with its very photogenic slate miners' cottages; quirky wheelbarrows for locals to transport their shopping from the ferry, (there are NO CARS on Easdale Island); and its lovely little folk museum.  Noted on the WILD SWIMMING network, Easdale Island has one of the most accessible and 'warm natural swimming pools in Scotland. The Black Slate absorbs the heat of the sun, and swimmers report it to be positively 'balmy compared to the sea'. Ask the on the ferry for directions, (it is located to the right side and rear of the island).

Another asset of course is The Puffer; tearooms from one side, Pub from the other. You will be delighted by locally sourced specialities and wonderful seafood. Enjoy a cheeky ale or a wee dram after walking around the island (which will take you from 20 minutes to hours, depending on how long you give yourself to STAND AND STARE - go on - you are ON HOLIDAY!

The best of both worlds!

No need to travel by ferry to get that idyllic Scottish Island feel. We have it in abundance here. The Isle of Seil, flanked by Easdale Island and the Isle of Luing will keep you well occupied. From Wild swimming, Sea-kayaking (some of the BEST Sea kayaking to be found in the UK, lies right in front of the Garragh Mhor); to taking in the fabulous Views (Dunmore Hill directly behind the B&B offers one of the BEST VIEWS in the whole of the Western Isles - and it only takes 15 minutes from the house to get to the top of the first peak.

Eagles, Otters, Porpoise, Mike Whales, Seabirds, and the stunning weather that passes overhead - provides a keen photographer with hours of fun. Take it all in - the clean air; the peace and quiet; the sense of space - with a cosy and welcoming B&B and local village community to welcome you at the end of your adventures.
