Location

Garragh Mhor B&B

Garragh Mhor is situated close to the shoreline in the tiny village of Ellenabeich overlooking the island of Easdale (with its thriving population of approximately 90). Ellenabeich is in the Firth of Lorn on the West Coast of Argyll.

To get here you do really need to drive although there is a regular bus service from Oban.

NOTE: SAT NAV is likely to take you to the village School in Ellenabeich - but no problem you are a stone's throw from Garragh hor. Detailed directions  follow:

From Oban follow the A816 South out of Oban, passing the superstore location for Tescos  and Aldi on your right. Follow  the road through Soroba, Knipoch, Kilninver and look out for the brown signs to Seafari, Sealife Adventures and the Isle of Luing. Turn right at the signs onto the B844.

You will cross onto the Isle of Seil  using the famous "Bridge over the Atlantic" at Clachan and pass the "Tigh an Truish", an 18th century inn and continue on until  you see the signs for Balvicar Stores and the Golf Course on your left. Continue sharp right, still on the B844, follow the road as it wiggles past the Tin Church and down the hill onto the sea front at Sea View. Keep going a short way and you will see Ellenabeich Primary School on your right, followed by the gardens "An Cala" also on the right. On your left will be a quarry pool - skirt the pool until you see the village sign for "Ellenabeich"  - TURN RIGHT HERE - up a track; this is signed on the corner to "Garragh Mhor".

When the track forks, look out for the painted Bumble Bee sign at the foot of the wall and take the left hand fork. Continue in a sweep round to the right, to the very end. 20180624_161915.jpg_1529949416
